Elf Instant Lift Brow Pencil Review

They’re the frames of the face and the quickest way to let your friends know if you’re surprised or upset! That’s right, we’re talking about brows. Whether they’re thin, thick, or arched with a vengeance, they all deserve some attention and this time around I decided to attend to mine with the Elf Instant Lift Brow Pencil. I picked mine up for $2 at Target and am ready to let ya’ll know if you should be heading over to pick one up too!

The packaging of the product is fairly nifty. It’s a slim dual ended white stick with a strip around it in the shade of the pencil. One end holds a capped spoolie and the other has the twist up pencil (sharpener haters rejoice!). There’s 0.006oz/0.18g which is double the amount present in the Anastasia Brow Wiz, but less than present in the Eyelure Brow Crayon and Benefit Cosmetic’s newest pencils.

From their 3 shade line up, I purchased the shade Deep Brown. The formula of it feels a little thick and you definitely have to push down harder to get more pigmentation. While the twist up packaging keeps you from having to tote around a sharpener, the formula also keeps the product in a rounded off nub shape meaning that the way you hold the pencil can change the pigmentation, but the size and thickness of the lines always stay the same. If you’re looking for a product that will offer a lot of precision, this might not be the one for you. Also, the product is not smudge-proof either. So if body slamming into people is your hobby, this pencil might be the call for you to calm down on that front, lest half your eyebrow could transfer off.

This all being said, I actually like this pencil. Yes, I always have to carve my brows out with concealer after filling them in, but for $2 it works well. My eyebrows last all day, the spoolie attachment makes it easy to break up excess product, and it’s incredibly cost efficient! The main downsides lie in the limited color selection and the nubbiness of the pencil, but that’s easy to work around. If you have $2 and an appreciation for elf cosmetics, definitely try this out!

Thanks for reading!

Until next time, have an awesome rest of your day and an amazing rest of your week!

Thanks! 🙂 I haven’t tried the brow kit yet, but I’m into all things brows and I’m pretty sure it’s decently priced so I’m definitely going to be checking that out! I also recommend the pencil! Even if you don’t end up loving the product, you at least will gain a fully functional spoolie from it!
